Hi,

Are there redo generate during truncate operation even my primary database is in FORCE LOGGGING mode? How this will effect on physical standby database.

Thanks for reply.

If redo will not be generated for truncate operation in FORCE LOGGING mode on primary db then how it will sync with physical standby db?

The command will still propagate to the standby.

i think as force logging is enabled , so redo will be generated for the same.

Redo is always generated .It is actually the undo that is not generated with truncate.

So the effect would still propagate to the standby.
