Is the tablespace actually off-line when doing a user-managed hot backup? I know the data blocks are copied into a redo stream but I am not sure if that means it(tablespace) is actually on-line or off-line.

Sorry, I am using oracle version 11.2.0.1 on windows 7 home platform.

Looking through the oracle documentation I cannot find where one can or cannot import triggers during an import with a data pump. I did see where one can import triggers using the older import utility.

No Oracle version is supported on any Home Edition.

Do NOT mix up different questions in the same topic, no one will then be able to understand to which question an answer will come and if it is correct or not.
You have been able to create a topic, then creare a new one it is not more difficult the second time.

Regards
Michel

I am running an iso image of Oracle 11 on Windows 7 home premium with a VM player and an SSH client for SQL. So far it works.

Thanks for the answers.
