Hi,
you can use export/import method, there is an another easy option is there

just copy all the datafiles/online redologfiles/archive logfiles/controlfiles along with parameter and passwordfile to some safest destination
(try to note down the locations of these files b.cos when u use this database in new ENVIRONMENT create the same locations on your system)

then after installing oracle simply copy all the files to the required destinations of each file in your new environment.

1)then delete the old password file only
2)create a new instance on your system with your earlier instance name with the help ORADIM server utility
3)create a new password file with a ORAPWD utility

4)then logon to sqlplus/svrmgrl as sysdba

5)simply say startup

this will work
