database recovery is to bring back the database to a state where the normaly functionality is returned and
data is back to a point in time to the last backup.
You may loose the latest information.

restoration is when u recovery the database to a normal functionaliy and data is back to a point( in time) before the database crash has occured.
YOU WILL HAVE ALL THE DATA AND INFORMATION, to point prior to the database crash.
