hi
i have one dought regarding export
shall i export to one place eg exp.dmp
if i write that file to a cd then copy to a location if i import from thaT Location whether it is correct format or invalidated.How can we
export database objects like packages,stored procedures functions
that stored in system tablespace whether it is possible
pls provide a eg any kind of help is appreciable

1. do the export , ftp the dmp file out of the server IN BIN mode and then write to the CD. It will work fine.
2. as per your post

by oracle standards only ORACLE METADATA should reside in system tablespace.
YOU NO NEED to export those items.
but if u have any other custom objects in system tablespace FIRST MOVE THEM OUTOF SYSTEM TABLESPACE and do the export.
Oracle strongly recomends NOT TO HAVE ANY CUSTOM OBJECTS
IN SYSTEM TABLESPAE.

how to move the objects dataobjects from system tablespace to another or how to copy it but simple export will work it or not
can u clarify more on IN BIN mode
