In SQL plus
<SQL>
i need to repeat last six or seven commands instead of typeing

is there any command to using arrow keys o backward and forward
last typing comamnds

i know / to execute last command

pl tell me how to do that in SQL plus.

Not in windows SQL*Plus.
Use arrow in DOS SQL*Plus.
I don't know in Unix ones.
Otherwise you can use SQL*Plus worksheet.

Check here for a tool called rlwrap that will provide DOS Key functionality on UNIX/Linux. It will provide a method to recall the last few commands entered while in SQL*Plus.

On HP-UX, use ied. man ied for details...

alias sqlplus="ied sqlplus"

I think mine is SUN Solaris not HP.
does it work on sun solaris m/c ied utitlity.

is this IED utility software need to install.

There are packages available of rlwrap for Solaris

opencsw.org/packages/rlwrap/

(ied is HP-UX only, not Open Source)
